Ellensburg Rodeo

The Ellensburg Rodeo is one traditional rodeo you don’t want to miss. Starting in 1923, the rodeo has earned its place as one of America’s Top 10 professional rodeos. Today’s best riders, ropers, and wrestlers will compete, Sept. 2–5. (OK — not technically fall … quite yet, but an adventure to get you in the mood to wear those boots in the back of the closet!).

Mountain Ale Festival

The Roslyn Mountain Ale Festival is the perfect fall event for any beer aficionado. Attendees will enjoy tasting beer from breweries in the Pacific Northwest while listening to live music in the Roslyn Yard on Oct. 15.

U-Pick Pumpkin Patch

Fall is not complete without a trip to a pumpkin patch. Grab your people and head to The Patch at Jensen Farms in Ellensburg to pick pumpkins, take a hayride, get lost in Gourdy’s Corn Maze, explore Jack’s Kids Zone, and enjoy the petting zoo. (And if you aren’t wanting to travel, there are many amazing patches all throughout the Eastside.)

Take a Fall Hike

Central Washington covers diverse and beautiful landscapes that include lush pine forests and basalt canyon cliffs — it is a hiker’s paradise. Explore the natural surroundings to discover fall colors and breathe in the crisp air at Little Kachess Trail, Coal Mines Trail, Davis Peak Trail, the trails at Pete Lake, and more.
