425 magazine is proud to present the 2021 Northwest Idea House this fall. It is under construction by Redmond’s Lochwood-Lozier Custom Homes, Remodeling & Landscaping. This stunning modern farmhouse with cutting-edge products and other wow-worthy elements in Woodinville will be open for tours in October and appear in a future issue of 425.

“So, what is an Idea House?” you may ask. Throughout the years, we’ve teamed with builders and designers who want to show off the newest, coolest products available in the home industry, while also showing their creativity, craftsmanship, and talent. The end result is a stunning home worth showing off in real life and within the pages of our magazines. The homes are dreamy, inspiring, and feature the latest in finishes, materials, and more.

This 2021 Northwest Idea House will feature the latest sustainable materials and numerous innovative features, including a dedicated “Zoom room”; a home office with multiple workstations; an exercise room; a dry spa and steam shower; a media room; a wine room; and two outdoor living spaces.

Everything is coming along, including the installation of Calacatta slabs in the master bathroom. Rubber floors in the workout room are laid, and a music room accent wall was painted and the Kuvio wall tiles are installed.

The outdoor living suite is being installed now, and appliances are on the way. Around the property, a nature trail is being blazed, and trail cameras already have captured some neighbors, including deer.

Soon the garage floor epoxy will be poured as well as the driveway. Closets, cabinetry and door hardware, and kitchen and bathroom counter installs are next.

We hope to see you at the house when it is open for tours. Donations from the tours are slated to go to Bellevue’s LifeSpring, Olive Crest, and Drive Toward a Cure, an organization that supports Parkinson’s research. Lochwood-Lozier is committed to contributing a total of $30K in matching funds to bolster fundraising efforts.
