Central Market stores in Shoreline, Mill Creek, Poulsbo, and Ballard Market, will now be known as Town & Country (their parent company name and the name of the company’s other local stores). With the new name will come fresh renovations and updated retail experiences, according to a press release. A new store also will open soon in Gig Harbor.
Mill Creek, the first store to be refurbished, already has a new indoor/outdoor dining area, a prominent selection of grab-and-go prepared foods, and a showcase area called the Idea Hub where select local products are featured and fresh tortillas are made daily. Renovations will continue with Shoreline in 2022, with its markets in Poulsbo and Ballard to follow.
A new website with an enhanced online shopping experience with delivery, the use of personal shoppers, and expanded digital content will help integrate the Town & Country markets into a streamlined system for people to shop both in-store and from home, while continuing to support a network of family-owned, local stores, according to the release.
