Renowned chef, cookbook author, and restaurateur Gastón Acurio is coming to downtown Bellevue in 2024 in an expansive 10,000-square-foot space in the three-tower West Main property along 106th Avenue and Main Street.
Named one of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2021, the aptly titled La Mar Cebichería Peruana focuses on Peruvian-style seafood dishes such as cebiche and tiraditos (thinly sliced raw seafood served with a spicy sauce, like carpaccio or sashimi), as well as favorites including creamy potato causas and bite-sized meat and seafood anticuchos.
The menu will prominently feature the ají chili, a frequently used pepper unique to Peru and the South American Andes. Styled as an upscale dining tour of Peruvian cuisine, Bellevue’s La Mar will be the third in the U.S., joining the ranks of Chile, Argentina, and Dubai.
