Cheers to a New Farm-to-Table Cocktail Club

Making a truly memorable and refreshing cocktail is a family business for sibling entrepreneurs Venise Cunningham and Belinda Kelly, the title duo behind Simple Goodness Sisters.

New to their offerings is the coolest Cocktail Farm Club, a CSA-style membership that sends out a release box of one of their classic syrups, a sample of a specialty flavor exclusive to club members, specialty cocktail garnishes, and drink recipes. The syrups are vegan-friendly, made from scratch with organic sugar and no preservatives or artificial additives. Imagine making cocktails (or the best mocktails) with Marionberry Mint syrup or Huckleberry Spruce Tip.

Already known to Seattle’s cocktail culture, Belinda was the creative mind behind the Happy Camper Cocktail Co., a stylish mobile bar in the form of a refurbished 1957 vintage camper that enlivened events and weddings for several years. That was where her handcrafted Rhubarb Vanilla Bean cocktail syrup began to take on a life of its own. With the help of sister Venise, the collection of cocktail syrups has expanded to half a dozen flavors, with many infused with the flowers, herbs, and fruits grown at their Simple Goodness Cocktail Farm.

Renovating a century-old soda shop in the historic town of Wilkeson (about an hour from Bellevue), their Simple Goodness Soda Shop is a classic soda fountain reborn with the sisters’ “garden-to-glass” syrups. They mix their syrups in traditional cocktails, as well as desserts like Marionberry Mint sundaes and Spruce Tip milkshakes. A full menu of sandwiches and snacks is also served, making it a must-try on a day trip to Rainier.
