The 20th Annual Seattle Black Film Festival

The 20th Annual Seattle Black Film Festival, presented by Langston Seattle, is back this week. Running through Sunday, the SBFF has a diverse lineup of more than 50 films made from local and international filmmakers and talkbacks with visiting filmmakers. Get all-access passes and tickets here.

A 'Star Wars' Laser Show

Kirkland Urban is hosting an immersive laser show and live-action costumed characters on May 4. Attendees are encouraged to come in their favorite character's garb. There will be a special giveaway for the best costume. Learn more here.

Village Theatre’s 'How to Break'

Ending this weekend in Issaquah — and beginning next weekend in Everett — is the Village Theatre’s premiere of the new musical “How to Break.” The play mixes music, poetry, breakdancing, and beatboxing to tell the story of two hospitalized teenage hip-hop dancers. Learn more and get tickets here.
