This weekend is the last chance to go apple picking at Redmond's South 47 Farm. There are several varieties of apples and quince to choose from; they include Spartan, Golden Russets, and Liberty. Tickets are $25 per two people which includes a five-gallon bucket to fill.

Queen Bee Naming Contest
A new queen bee as arrived at the beehive in Kirkland Urban and needs a name. The center is asking the community to help come up with name suggestions which can be submitted via Google Form here. The contest will close Oct. 15 when Kirkland Urban will pick the top five names for the community members to vote on. The winner will be awarded a basket full of KU honey products made by the resident bees.
Bellevue Jazz & Blues Festival
