Second homes come in many forms; to some people it might be a condominium in another city, for others it’s a large home on the beach. In most cases, we want our getaway to evoke a different feeling than our primary residence. That’s part of the adventure and appeal of having another home. Typically, second homes are more casual, and the décor is influenced by both the location and the activities that happen there.

Ultimately, the goal is to let go of pre-existing notions about what should happen and open up to what can happen. This is most easily achieved by first defining the elements of the particular space or location and allowing your imagination to rework those elements into an inspired outcome that will renew its invitation to you again and again.
