So much to add! How about for starters: Great food at Bamiyan in Issaquah/Gilman Village (combo Afghani-Persian, very tasty!). Must have Farmers Market category!

I'm happy to see Eastside Prep get the recognition it deserves. It's a wonderful school.

Melting Pot was not mentioned but it has a fantastic happy hour, offering half off cheese fondue, chocolate fondue, and salads...along with all their delish wine. No matter when I stop in, it is always seems to be happy hour. Also, my kids love coming in and watching everything prepared tableside!
Sharol (Seattle)    Sep 08, 2009 8:41 AM
Way to go, best artist Rebecca Devere! Congrats.
Christina Dudley (Bellevue)    Sep 07, 2009 12:25 PM

I love the Speed Trap category -- ugh, so true! Chantanee's bar, Naga, mixes up amazing vintage cocktails with a flare for history and complex flavor. I don't know where this would fit, but Mediterranean Kitchen is my all-around favorite -- Best Place to Keep the Vampires Away? So much garlic, but sooooo good.
Jackie McGhee (Redmond)    Aug 31, 2009 3:40 PM
Nice job on the picks! Honorable mention on gyms/trainers should have gone to ZenRock Fitness in Redmond. They're amazing too. Next year!
Shannon Piper (Bellevue)    Aug 28, 2009 12:50 PM
I liked the picks! I think you are missing the boat by not having a Best Consignment category though. We have several excellent options in this area. I also think that "Gotta Have Shoes" in old Bellevue on Main, is worth a mention.
JJ (Kirkland)    Aug 27, 2009 10:47 AM
Best Hair Salon: SALON MATARAZZO bellevue - Ron Matarazzo and his team are the abosolute best - I have gone there for over 10 years!
S.L. (Kirkland)    Aug 25, 2009 4:15 PM
Best Personal Trainer: Alex Wasserman at Elite Fitness Training! I agree! Parkplace Books is super. And Cactus does serve great cocktails. I need to try El Gaucho Bellevue soon.
J.J. (Bellevue)    Aug 25, 2009 4:12 PM
Awesome. This is great for a new transplant like me! This is a great magazine, so I'll trust the readers and find some new favorites.
