The process of good design is more than just choosing pretty pillows. It’s really about the business of finding great solutions for our client’s needs. This can take many forms: walkthrough consultations, color specification, design planning and purchasing services.
What you are buying from a designer is more than the stuff you see. The value that a designer brings to you includes taste and vision, the ability to guide and facilitate the process, contacts and resources built over years of experience, and the opportunity to collaborate and implement a project, whether large or small.
As small business owners ourselves, we are particularly interested in educating our clients about their options. This isn’t to say we don’t also frequent larger operations (we love The Container Store and Crate and Barrel). In the long run, it all boils down to quality, value and service.
