Chocolate Season

You have to admit, it's kinda funny that we bust our butts on resolutions for the new year, but chocolate season is right around the corner. If you need to reward yourself after your grueling gym routine, go for it (moderation is healthy, right?) Or if you just want to be sweet to your sweetie, here are some of the best places to fulfill the chocolate fix. 

• Oh! Chocolate A family tradition, Oh! Chocolate offers truffles, nuts and chews, and French creams and truffles, as well as certain seasonal offerings. Order online or visit one of their stores in Mercer Island, Bellevue or Seattle. 
• Chocolate Man If you’re feeling extra romantic, don’t just buy a box of chocolates — make some! Chocolate Man offers classes, sells chocolate-making supplies, including the ingredients themselves, and its new storefront just opened in Lake Forest Park Mall. 17171 Bothell Way N.E., Lake Forest Park.
• Cupcakes Try your chocolate in a different form with a cupcake from one of the many local cupcake shops. Try something chocolaty at Trophy Cupcakes at the Bravern in Bellevue (Martha Stewart said they are “Utterly delicious”), Cupcake Royale in Bellevue (try the Triple Threat) and PinkaBella Cupcakes at Bellevue Square and Redmond Town Center (try the Mile High Mud Pie). Yum.
• Fran’s Chocolates We sound like a broken record, however we don’t apologize. At Fran’s (Seattle and Bellevue) everything is divine, but we absolutely swoon for the salted caramels. President Obama and First Lady Michelle do, too.
